ABOUT

Angela Carr Forsythe is a Nashville-based singer whose musical style mixes classical and Contemporary Christian elements. After earning her doctorate degree in Voice Performance in 2015, she returned to Nashville to perform and to teach voice. In addition to her Christian music ministry and session singing, Angela also specializes in early music and has performs regularly with the Early Music City and Music City Baroque ensembles. She has performed with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, the Nashville Choir, the Boston Cantata Singers, Elevare, the Masterworks Chorale, and the New England Light Opera. Her recent Galênê: Christian Tranquillity project includes calming vocals set to Christian hymns and choruses.

TEACHING

Angela received the Doctor of Arts degree in Voice Performance from Ball State University in 2015. She currently serves as the Director of Vocal Studies at Trevecca Nazarene University and also teaches voice in the Worship & Arts Academy at Brentwood Baptist Church. Her past teaching experience includes Belmont University, Lipscomb University, Taylor University, and Ball State University.
